Johnsons MME proudly supports the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge as part of a three year commitment to the event starting in 2016. It's a great event for our community and one that we are delighted to be involved with.
For the past four years, the Albury Wodonga Region Cancer Centre has been the beneficiary of the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge. Over that time, close to $85,000 has been donated by the event. The 2017 Lake Hume Cycle Challenge saw over 800 riders participate - a record for the event.
Johnsons MME would like to congratulate the Rotary Club of Bellbridge - Lake Hume for their vision and efforts in organising such a well run and exceptional local cycling event. We look forward to working with the Club, local councils and other sponsors to ensure the event goes from strength to strength.
The Corporate Challenge is a great way for businesses and sporting groups to have fun together, get fit and raise money for our local Cancer Centre and the Border Trust as part of the Lake Hume Cycle Challenge.
In 2017, for the second year running, the team from Jayco Albury Wodonga took out Johnsons MME Corporate Challenge Cup competing against teams from Johnsons MME, Drummond Real Estate, Mars Petcare, Norske Skog,Westpac, New Life Chapel, Hansen Yuncken and Albury City Council and combined the teams raised over $6,500.
How does the Corporate Challenge work?
Johnsons MME is throwing out a challenge to the business and sporting community to get a team together for the 2018 Lake Hume Cycle Challenge. Teams can have as many riders as they want and the aim is for each team to raise money for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. The team that raises the most money, wins the Johnsons MME Corporate Challenge Cup!
If you are keen to participate and want to find out more, email Kate Green at Johnsons MME.
Johnsons MME was a proud silver sponsor of the 2017 Hume Bank City2City RunWalk which raised money for Albury Wodonga Health. The City2City was run on Sunday 19 February starting from QE2 Square in Albury and finishing in Wodonga at the Water Tower on High Street.

Johnsons MME Charity Fundraising
At Johnsons MME we regularly get involved in fundraising for worthy causes. We have an active social club and fundraising group, both of which have rallied behind such causes as Relay for Life, The Big Splash and more recently Give Me Five For Kids, Movember and the One Can Can movement.
Pictured below is Johnsons MME staff member, Nathan Reynolds presenting a big cheque to Matt and Lu from 105.7 FM The River representing Give Me Five For Kids. Throughout 2015, the JMME Fundraising Committee held a variety of activities and raised $800 for this charity.
"When we were searching for a foundation to focus our efforts on, our main criteria was locality in that we wanted to put our efforts into a cause that directly aided the Albury Wodonga community," said Nathan.
"The money we have raised as a team will be donated to the children's ward at the local base hospital and funds new equipment and facilities for sick kids. We also wanted something the whole office would want to get behind."
"One of my favourite fund raising activities is our 'name the baby' competition where we display a baby photo of a staff member and people pay for a guess as to who it is. With such a diverse workplace, it's never an easy task!"
