Originally from Yarrawonga, Gary attended the Sacred Heart Primary School and Sacred Heart High School at Yarrawonga, finishing his final two senior years at Galen College Wangaratta.

Gary received his Bachelor of Commerce in 1985 after studying at the University of Melbourne.  He also became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in 1991.

Gary commenced work with our antecedent firm, Coopers & Lybrand in January 1985 as an auditor.  He progressed to the role of audit manager by 1990 but made the switch to business services in 1992. 

Gary was first admitted as Partner in 2000 and is currently the Managing Partner at Johnsons MME.  His expertise now is in Business Services.  He deals with a range of small to medium enterprises assisting them with their reporting obligations, income and other taxation commitments, planning and family consulting, including succession planning. 

Gary deals with a wide range of clients, including primary producers, transport operators, builders, motor vehicle dealers, irrigation operators, estate and stock & station agents, licensed premises as well as investor clients.

Married to Christine with 2 teenage daughters, Gary's social interests are varied.  Gary is closely associated with East Albury Cricket Club, both as an outstanding player and as an administrator, currently being on the committee for 25 years.  He has also travelled overseas and throughout Australia to watch cricket at a higher level.  He has an AFL interest with Collingwood, and locally with Yarrawonga Football and Netball Club.  Gary also includes his family in these and his other interests of trekking, cooking and generally meeting people.
