Johnsons MME is an accounting practice of seven partners and a staff of 45 managers and professionals operating from modern facilities in Albury Wodonga. The practice utilizes industry best practice and up to date technology, systems and training.

Paul Goonan was born in Myrtleford and spent his childhood years attending school at St Mary's Primary School and Marian College, also both in Myrtleford.

Paul was employed by Coopers & Lybrand, our antecedent firm, in July 1993 as a trainee accountant. He started his accountancy career studying at Charles Sturt University in Albury while working, and was admitted as a Chartered Accountant in May 2000.  Paul took on more studies in 2009 and in June of that year also became a Certified Internal Auditor.

Paul was made a Partner of Johnsons MME on 1 July 2010.  Paul's expertise is in business advisory services and also internal audit work.  Paul is also interested in sustainable business services and is instrumental in introducing a number of ideas to our office to reduce operating costs as well as achieve environmental outcomes.

Paul is married to Pauline and has 2 sons Thomas, 4 and Harry 3, with a further family member expected in May this year.

His community involvement includes being the Regional President of the Murray Riverina NSW Business Chamber.  Paul also currently has a role on the committee of the Murray Valley Industry Park in Deniliquin.

Outside of working hours Pauls farming background still sees him working on the land, at the football (only as a spectator!), camping and spending time with his family.
